THE EPWORTH CASH PLUS FUND (ECPF)

The Epworth Cash Plus Fund offers
charities a distinctive investment solution for their liquid assets.

The Fund enables charities to have same day access* to their cash deposits whilst aiming to provide a competitive rate of interest. Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly.

By pooling investor deposits, the Fund invests across various banking counterparties through current and term deposits, certificates of deposits and floating rate notes. To deliver highly competitive interest rates with instant access, Epworth takes strategic and investment decisions based upon the outlook for sterling interest rates and the suitability of potential counter-parties.

Opening an account in the Cash Plus Fund is straight forward and Epworth’s team aim to undertake all necessary checks under the investor and anti-money laundering regimes within seven working days. With one application form, depositors can open multiple sub accounts enabling charities to identify and manage separate pools of liquidity to meet their operational and organisational requirements. An on-line portal gives charity trustees visibility on daily balances.

The Fund is a Common Deposit Fund and is a charity in its own right, enjoying the same tax status as other charities. Whilst the Fund is overseen by the Charities Commission, Epworth, as the Fund’s Manager is subject to the rules and regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority. It should be noted that the Fund is not covered by the Money Market Fund Regulations and that depositors are not eligible for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) or the services of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

“We have found Epworth Investments invaluable in their support and guidance when deciding what to do and when with tranches of monies. Staff are supportive, knowledgeable and flexible to accommodate the needs of our (complex!) organisation.

Their guidance and understanding is invaluable and we have been working closely with the Business Development team who have been an absolute asset in supporting us in placing funds and securing an excellent rate of return but moreover, making the transfer of funds from one banking entity to themselves seamless and easy.”
